The owner of Lasting Impression Horsemanship, Janelle, practiced as a Licensed Veterinary Technician from 2009-2022 and has owned horses for over 20 years. She has an incredible talent for teaching others, working with horses, training, breaking, and producing safe companions.  Janelle has studied, and continues to study Natural Horsemanship methods and uses it to train horses creating solid foundations on horses.

 

Her favorite part is working with young horses and the challenge of getting them to understand what is being asked of them. When horses are so young they are very willing to please and are much easier to train because they have not been taught bad habits yet. By working with them early saves a lot of time down the road.  This saves you from having to break bad habits developed at an older age.

 

Janelle is constantly seeking new knowledge and experience, allowing her to be the best horseman she can be.  Every horse she works with teaches her something new and is improving her skills and broadening her knowledge.  She continues her education working with other advanced horsemen and attending clinics. 

 

Horses have been a passion for Janelle her entire life and has owned them since she was 10 years old.  She spent a lot of years learning what does and doesn't work with them through trial and error but the real gamechanger for her was when she learned equine psychology allowing her to understand how horses perceive the world and communicate with them effectively. 

 

She is extremely knowledgeable in multiple areas and is able to, you get rapid results, a respectful, safe, less reactive, and willing partner, and teach you how to create a bond with your horse that lasts a lifetime.
